Do I need my own OpenAI account?

No. MultipleChat provides the interface and model access from your MultipleChat account. MultipleChat is an independent product and is not affiliated with OpenAI.

Is this the same as using ChatGPT directly?

The model does the same job. The difference is what surrounds it: model switching, the studios, Compare Mode, and one workspace holding your chats and files.

Can I compare ChatGPT against other models?

Yes, that is what Compare Mode is for. It is an advanced workflow and may require a paid plan.

Can I upload files to the conversation?

Yes, once you are logged in. PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, and images are all supported.

Can I import my chat history from ChatGPT?

Yes. Go to the Chat History page in MultipleChat, click Import, then drag and drop the chat export files you downloaded from ChatGPT or another AI chat app.

Is it free?

There is a free entry point. Advanced multi-model workflows such as Compare Mode and AI Team may require a paid plan.

What happens to my chat history?

It stays in your MultipleChat workspace so you can pick a thread back up later, which is the main practical reason the chat itself sits behind login.
