How the check runs

Paste the text. The claims are split out one per line. For each, a search-native model finds a source and quotes the sentence the claim rests on, or reports that none was found. A reasoning model that did not write the text reads each claim against its quote and marks it supported, unsupported or contradicted. On paid plans, Auto Verification runs an independent pass when factual confidence matters, without you orchestrating the steps.

Anything factual and public. It cannot verify private facts, predictions or opinions; it will say so.

How reliable is it?

Much more than one model alone, and not perfect. Treat 'supported' as 'here is the source; read it', not as proof.

Does it work on numbers?

Yes: it finds the original source of a statistic and quotes it. Numbers are where most misquotes live.
